Software Integration Intern

Boston, MA* or Remote from MA, ME, WA, CO, NY, TX, and Washington D.C.

Join our small, fast-growing, Boston-based software startup that is helping to fight climate change by improving the energy efficiency of homes across the country!

Background

BEAM is a Google Sheet calculator that sums building material volumes for single-family homes to calculate the embodied carbon footprint of these homes. A BEAM user enters building materials and volumes and then BEAM calculates the embodied carbon footprint for the home. NEHERS and BEAM have partnered with MassCEC to complete a pilot incentive program to reduce embodied carbon in residential construction.

Ekotrope RATER is an energy model software that calculates the projected energy usage of homes based on a digital twin model of the home’s building envelope. Ekotrope RATER is used on nearly 400,000 homes annually across the USA.

NEHERS, BEAM, and Ekotrope are partnered to build a seamless connection between BEAM and Ekotrope to facilitate the adoption of BEAM and embodied carbon calculations in this pilot program. To do so, Ekotrope will work to build enhancements to BEAM to extract key data points from Ekotrope energy models.
