Customer Success Manager

We have had tremendous success with our energy-efficiency solutions in the residential new construction sector, and recently been designated as the 18th fastest growing private US company in the energy sector. Our solutions are used on 80% of new certified energy-efficient homes in the US -about 320,000 homes each year. We are now looking to leverage our success and market penetration to grow our business in other segments, including Building Product Manufacturers and Builders. We’re looking for…

A Customer Success Manager who will ensure our customers get the most possible value from our technology, data solutions and  consulting services. Customers may include building product manufacturers, home builders, and energy raters.

Responsibilities

Guide customers through the onboarding process. Understand their businesses and solve problems during onboarding and implementation.

Build and maintain strategic and productive relationships with various contacts at each customer company to ensure their satisfaction and help identify additional service opportunities.

Provide training, technical assistance, and consulting support to ensure our clients are successful leveraging our data and technology.

Be the voice of the customer within Ekotrope, championing new ideas and making sure resources are allocated to achieve customer success.

Ideally, you have the following (though not all are necessary)

Experience:

  • Demonstrable past success in building and maintaining exceptional customer relationships

  • 4+ years in customer oriented  roles - from consulting, customer success, sales, business development or other customer focused roles

  • 2+ years experience in the construction and/or energy efficiency industries

  • Bachelor's Degree 

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and organizational skills

  • Ability to create and manage projects

  • Good understanding of technology around software and data

  • Analytical mindset and passion for tracking success through metrics

  • Ability to absorb and analyze large amounts of new complex information and to build expertise in new industry areas

Compensation

Combination of Salary and Stock Options commensurate with skills and experience.

Work Hours

While there is some flexibility, our expectation is that you would work about 40 hours per week and roughly match our Monday-Friday 9-5 Eastern Time working hours, especially our morning Scrum meetings at 9:45am ET.

We have a hybrid work environment where employees can work remotely or at our office in Downtown Boston, steps from South Station (or both!). We are currently accepting candidates that live in the states of MA, NY, CO, DC, TX, and ME. If you are outside this area, you may still apply, as our list may change in the future.
