Our General Solutions

Ekotrope RATER is a powerful and easy to use calculation engine that can demonstrate compliance with IECC Energy Codes, LEED for Homes, Utility Programs, NGBS, and other Green Building Programs. We are used all over the world to show compliance with the above compliance pathways. These solutions allow you to do everything a HERS Rater can except generate certain reports that require a HERS Rater credential like a HERS Certificate or Energy Star Certificate.

What are the General License Options?

Standard RATER License:

• This license option allows you to assess a homes compliance with all of the codes and programs supported in Ekotrope. You can generate reports for all of these except the HERS, Energy Star, and DOE ZERH’s Certificates. These programs require a HERS Rater credential.

• This license is ideal if:

  • You are looking to show compliance with a green building program like LEED for Homes Residential and are not a HERS Rater.

RATER Lite License:

• This license option allows you to assess a homes compliance with all of the codes and programs supported in Ekotrope. However, the compliance reports you can generate are much more limited than the Standard RATER license.

• This license is ideal if:

  • You work on HERS Rated Homes and want to do modeling without providing code compliance documentation.

  • You collaborate with HERS Raters and want to share models back and forth.
