Utility Programs Update

It’s hard to believe that we’re half way through 2022, but it makes sense when we look back at all the work we’ve done over the past few months. As we close out this past quarter, we’re excited to share some of the utility program updates that have been done over the last 3 months.

New Multifamily Reference Home for Mass Save

For multifamily projects (5 or more units in a building) permitted on or after June 1, Ekotrope will now use a custom Multifamily Reference home for the savings and incentive calculations. There are also three new custom reports: the Multifamily Proposed Home Summary, the Multifamily Reference Home Summary, and the Multifamily Fuel Summary Comparison. To use the new reference home for multifamily projects, please make sure to check the multifamily checkbox within the Mass Save OIT.

Rater Incentive Updates for Mass Save

Also for Mass Save, we’ve updated the rater incentive. For projects with a permit date of March 1, 2022 or later, Ekotrope now shows the updated incentives. For all R&A projects regardless of savings, the rater incentive is now $700 (Single Family) and $100 (Multi-Family). For New Homes, the rater incentive is $350 (SF) and $100 (MF) for up to 29.8% savings; for a New Homes project with savings greater than that, raters will receive $700 (SF) and $200 (MF).

Added New Pennsylvania Reference Home

The much anticipated Pennsylvania reference home reports are now available in beta! We’ve built out a custom reference home based on the PA 2021 code. These new reference homes required a significant amount of customized engineering, and we’re excited to have them ready for use.

Added Support for PNM IQ Pilot

After launching the PNM/NMG program earlier this week, we’ve recently added further support to the program by including a new incentive calculation for the PNM IQ Pilot. To participate in the program, raters need to select the checkbox on the OIT. Once selected, Ekotrope will use a custom incentive calculation to surface the PNM IQ incentive for the project.

Updated 2022 Rebate Calculation for DTE

Lastly, for the DTE program we added a new rebate calculator for the 2022 program year. This change included a handful of new rebates, including:

  • Air source heat pump and ground source heat pump rebates

  • Electric heat pump water heater rebates

  • Insulation rebates

These rebates are all mix-and-match, so raters can customize what works best for each project. Feel free to review our support article to learn more.

If you have any questions about these updates or would like to learn more please contact us at info@ekotrope.com.
